I began working for Saudi Airlines in 1977 in the reservations and tickets department in Medina.

In 1978, I joined the Saudi Airlines pilot preparatory program in Jeddah. I was then sent to the United States to complete my studies, where I obtained a diploma and a flight dispatcher license in 1980.

In 1980, I began working in the Air Dispatch Office in Saudi Airlines' flight operations as an assistant flight dispatcher until 1985. I then worked as a flight dispatcher until 1988, then as a flight dispatch supervisor until 1995, and finally as a flight dispatcher on duty until 2008.

During my time working in air dispatch, I was appointed by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation as an inspector of flight dispatchers in 1996. In 1997, I was also appointed by Saudi Airlines as an internal inspector in the air operations and flight dispatch offices.
In 1998, I was appointed as the Director of the Fuel Consumption Monitoring Department for Saudi Airlines, and then as the Acting Director of the Air Transport Department.

In 2004, I was selected as the Air Transport Department's representative on the Manuals for Equipment Review Board (MEL Board). I was also selected as a member of the working group tasked with obtaining ISO certification for Saudi Airlines. In 2005, I was selected as a member of the working group tasked with obtaining IOSA certification for aviation safety standards.
In 2005, I was also assigned as the Acting Director of the Air Navigation Department for Air Operations for Saudi Airlines. In 2007, I was assigned to work as the Director of the Administrative Affairs Department for Air Operations Services at Saudi Airlines.

In 2009, I moved to work as an aviation safety inspector at the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) until 2023. In 2011, I joined temporarily to participate in establishing the air transport offices for the Saudi Red Crescent's air ambulance sector for a period of a year and a half, after which I returned as an aviation safety inspector at the GACA.
In 2023, I obtained an aviation science advisor certificate from the GACA.
